Welcome to Western Winter season 2021. I am very excited for the season with all new ideas that will have the audience standing on their feet cheering for you guys. Last year and the year before, the Winterguard were placed in Scholastic AAA. This year, it has been decided that Western Winterguard will move up a division to Scholastic AA. The performers will be competing with South Florida guards, but other guards around United States. So, what is Winterguard you may ask?

Winterguard is an indoor color guard activity, derived from the outdoor summer activity that is commonly part of marching band or drum corps. Performers will be performing on a tarp floor that is design to allow them to move creatively. This season gives the guard members a way to participate and compete as an ensemble and to illustrate their talents and skills. Just like Colorguard, Winterguard is not easy at all. This takes hard work, dedication, persistence and most of all; heart.
I believe that this season will indeed allow many individual’s perceptions about Western to top those perceptions with an amazing show design and technique that will knock everyone’s socks off! Get ready……………
