A graduate of Florida A&M University, our band director has over 16 years of experience as a music instructor in high schools and middle schools including Boyd Anderson High School, Parkway Middle School, Miami Central Senior High School and now we are honored to have him as our own band director.

Mr. Tracey began teaching at Western High during the 2004-2005 school year and has done an amazing job building up our band program. During the 2006-2007 school year he was honored by the Florida Bandmasters Association with the Tom Bishop Award. This award is extremely prestigious and is given to a band director that significantly improves a band program in a short amount of time. He has helped the band achieve many superior ratings at both District and State Florida Bandmasters Association M.P.A. Mr Tracey is also an F.B.A. Adjudicator.
