The Wind Ensemble is the most essential instrumental music program for the Pride of the Wildcats, and is a year-long ensemble that meets as a daily class, and twice a week for afterschool rehearsals. The ensemble is comprised of the musicians within multiple classes, and also allows students to play an instrument that is different from their marching band instrument. The ensemble focuses on fundamentals of techniques, instrument specific details as both sections and a group. This consistently performs both technically and artistically demanding music ranging from Grade 5-6 literature. Placement in the ensemble is open to all students, however the seating placement is by audition.
